10 Hours In-Car One-on-One Driver Training

At Good Drivers our personalized in-car training provides hands-on instruction with a certified driving instructor. Each lesson is designed to build confidence, improve driving skills, and prepare students for safe, independent driving.

During your in-car training, you will learn:

• Vehicle controls and dashboard familiarization
• Proper seating, mirror, and steering wheel adjustments
• Safe vehicle starting, stopping, and parking procedures
• Defensive driving techniques and hazard awareness
• Observation skills and effective mirror use
• Lane positioning and lane-changing techniques
• Left and right turns at intersections
• Four-way stops and controlled intersections
• Traffic signs, signals, and right-of-way rules
• Residential, urban, and rural driving
• Highway and freeway driving skills
• Merging, exiting, and maintaining safe following distances
• Speed management and space management
• Parallel parking and reverse parking
• Three-point turns and U-turns (where permitted)
• Backing up safely and reversing techniques
• Handling busy intersections and roundabouts
• Night driving and adverse weather driving tips
• Sharing the road with pedestrians, cyclists, and commercial vehicles
• Emergency braking and collision-avoidance strategies
• Road test preparation and mock driving assessments
